It's the best show I've ever seen. I don't want to tell you too much about it, other than it was made in the mid-70s, is a sort of cross between a daytime soap and a prime-time sitcom, and was so subversive at the time that it was only played after midnight in most places where it aired. It was created by Norman Lear. Here's a clip. They have it on Netflix, but they've only put out part of the first season on DVD.
